What to Expect
How We Work
At Azzolino Chiropractic Neurology & Integrative Wellness, we specialize in managing a wide range of chronic conditions. A comprehensive evaluation and innovative technology allows us to assess the function of your brain, central nervous system, and musculoskeletal system.
Taking an in-depth look at how your brain is communicating to the many systems of your body gives us a distinct understanding of which neurological pathways need our focus.
At ACN&IW, new patients will experience three stages of a comprehensive initial evaluation.
Allow for one hour during your first appointment. This time includes taking a consultation, extensive history, examination, and digital x-ray if warranted. It is important to bring previous imaging and reports (MRI, CT, bloodwork) for review as well as your initial paperwork filled out completely. Wear athletic shorts and top. This meeting is devoted to investigating your health condition.
It may be recommended that addition testing is warranted to create a baseline for your brain function. This includes videonystagmography (VNG) to record your eye movements, posturography to calculate your balance and fall risk, and more. Some patients elect to combine their first and second appointment in the same day. Not all patients require advanced testing.
This appointment is called the report of findings. Dr. Afzal will explain important findings in the examination, a treatment strategy, how often to schedule, and what type of rehabilitation will be beneficial for your success.
Dr. Afzal provides a comprehensive approach to your chronic condition. We will work as a team to guide you on the path to better health. Understand that your success may involve making lifestyle changes to support the rehabilitative work we do in the office. However, once you see positive changes we know you will continue on the road to recovery, making your health a priority.
I’m not from the San Francisco Bay Area
You’re not alone! Many patients –local, out of state, and international – with brain-based issues have had success scheduling week intensives. Patients can create changes quickly by doing rehabilitation at the office several times a day. Call the office for more information. (415) 563-3800
