Why Mom Needs Chiropractic Care After the Delivery of Baby
Moms seek out chiropractic care for persisting pain following labor, especially due to the pushing process. As the baby descends through the birth canal, the bones of the pelvis can shift and misalign. This is common if the baby is posterior, meaning the baby’s spine is against the mother’s spine, and the mother experiences back labor.
Following labor and delivery, it is common for women to experience “new mommy syndrome” from improper posture while breast feeding, lack of sleep, lack of exercise and strength training, lifting infant carriers, lifting older children child in and out of carseats, the list goes on.
Women may experience the following symptoms:
- Lower Back Pain
- Coccyx or Tailbone Pain
